# Connect HealthEx to Claude

## Link your personal health records to Claude for personalized health conversations and insights.

You can connect your health records via the HealthEx Connector (with a Claude Pro or Max account).

Follow the steps below to connect Claude to HealthEx:

- In Claude, open **Settings**![claudeSettings-1](https://support.healthex.io/hs-fs/hubfs/claudeSettings-1.png?width=500&height=74&name=claudeSettings-1.png)
- Go to **Connectors**

- Look for HealthEx and select **Connect**![connectorFind-1](https://support.healthex.io/hs-fs/hubfs/connectorFind-1.png?width=500&height=143&name=connectorFind-1.png)
- A dialog screen will appear. Review and check the box to consent. Tap on **Continue** to proceed

- Next, you will be directed to HealthEx to get started![getStarted-1](https://support.healthex.io/hs-fs/hubfs/getStarted-1.png?width=297&height=400&name=getStarted-1.png)
- Go through the identity verification and provider lookup to connect your records
- Once complete, you should see a **Success!** screen

- Tap **Finish** to return to Claude.

### What Data can the Connector Access?

To see what the HealthEx connector can access, open Claude’s connector settings and tap **HealthEx**. Each tool listed corresponds to a category of your health records, such as allergies, medications, or lab results.

Each tool has one of three access settings:

- **Always Allow**: Claude runs the tool without asking each time.
- **Needs Approval**: Claude asks before each use. This is shown as “Ask” in the tool list, and it’s the default.
- **Blocked**: Claude can’t use the tool.

To change a setting, tap the tool and choose an option. To apply one setting to every tool, tap **Set all tools**.

 

### Disconnect HealthEx Connector

- In Claude's connector settings, long tap HealthEx until you see **Disconnect** appear![disconnectClaude](https://support.healthex.io/hs-fs/hubfs/disconnectClaude.png?width=500&height=336&name=disconnectClaude.png)
- Tap on **Disconnect** again to confirm
